How to book flights online

If you have never booked a flight online you might find the whole idea rather intimidating. You need not worry! On this page we explain how easy it is to book flights online.

At the top of almost every page on this website you will see a flight booking tool. This is where you can search for and book your flights. The flight booking tool looks like this:

In both cases you need to select if you want to book ‘one way’ or ‘return’ flights. See the ‘Frequently asked Questions‘ at the bottom of this page for more information about the diference between ‘one way’ and ‘return’ flights

Now you need to type in your departure city and your arrival city. Lets assume you want to book a one way flight from Lagos to Abuja. Now select your departure date and the number of travellers. You can ignore the “More option” tab unless you want more advances search features.

Now click “Search flights now”. Our flight booking tool then gets to work and checks flight ticket prices with the leading Nigerian and International airlines. We compare flights with hundreds of airlines. After a couple of moments you will be presented with several flight options organised by price. It will look something like this:

In the example above, you can see our flight search has found flights from Lagos to Abuja with more than one airline. You can resort the results using various filters if you want. Basically you just need to look at the list of flights and decide which one is best for you. Most people focus on 2 things. What time does the flight depart and how much does the flight cost.

To view more details about a flight, simply click on “View”. It should look like this:

You can clearly see the total price for this flight. This is the price you will pay if you book the flight now. Prices can increase at any moment. Do not expect to find the same flight for the same price even a few minutes later.

If you would like to book the flight click on the “Book this flight” button.

You will then be directed to a form where you need to enter the details of the person who will by flying.

You then just need to follow the instructions on how to continue with the booking. It is very straightforward.

A “multi-city” booking is a booking for flights that are not necessarily connected or they may be connected but the booking will include more than 2 journeys. Here are a couple of examples of multi-city bookings. Lagos to London then Paris to Lagos. Your booking does not include your journey between London and Paris. Maybe you plan to travel from London to Paris by train. Another example could be, Lagos to London, then London to Johannesburg, then Johannesburg to Lagos.
